A Dallas jury issued a verdict in favor of Plaintiff, RR Donnelley & Sons Co., for damages arising from breach of contract for commercial mailing services after more than a week of testimony and deliberation.  Judge Martin Hoffman presided over the trial and on Monday entered an Amended Final Judgment in favor of RR Donnelley for damages, interest and attorney fees exceeding $600,000.

Cody Towns served as Texas co-counsel alongside Jeffrey Widman and Terry Banich of Chicago.

The case is RR Donnelley & Sons Co. v. Metroplex Mailing Services, LLC, et al., Cause No. 09-00845 in the Dallas County District Court.

-update: After appeal, the judgment in the case was reduced and Metroplex Mailing Services ceased operations. Total recovery on the dispute was less than $200,000.
